I'm pretty sure you can feel the sudden change of the weather, I noticed that this January to February has been the coldest season well, in fact, we have been expecting the Christmas breeze since December. I can finally say that yes, global warming is already here and finally letting us feel the things we did that's not good for our mother earth.

The Environmental Management Bureau of the Department of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources held the Ecological Waste Management Summit on January 25 to 27 at the ABS-CBN Vertis North Tent, Quezon City.

This amazing event aims to further boost the DENR's continuous efforts in giving public awareness and understanding of environmental issues and concerns, focusing on practical knowledge for effective solid waste management at the source, which includes waste segregation, composting and recycling.

The increased awareness and commitment to effective waste management creates a future where citizens enjoy an unpolluted environment, sustainable and secure area from natural calamities. So the summit has an interactive program that will inform, instruct and inspire the participants to take the lead towards a cleaner and greener world.

Aside from the interactive program, they have prepared, they also have seminars and talks on the Current Environmental situation, Laws and Regulations, Technological Innovations and Sustainable Goal. There are also workshops that teach practical ways of saving the planet and several exhibitions of environmental products, technologies and services from different Local Government Units, Non-Governmental Organizations, government agencies and private sectors.
